The translation quality analysis of students’ research abstract (case studies at management program in university of Kuningan)

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the translation quality aspects in accuracy, acceptability and readability students’ research abstract. Qualitative method is used in this research and case study is used to find the translation quality of students’ research abstract. The researcher conducts this research on 20 students’ research abstract of management program student batch of 2016 who graduates in 2020, University of Kuningan. As the result, most of students’ translation are less accurate, less acceptable and less readable. There are have the same score in each of sub-categories. In accurate, acceptable and readable categories is 14 sentences with the percentage of 6 %.  Then, the categories of less accurate, less acceptability and less readable is 180 sentences with the percentage of 78%.  Last, there are 16% for inaccurate, unacceptable and unreadable categories as much as 38 sentences in each of categories. 8 abstracts shows that the translation is less quality and 12 abstracts is low translation quality. It means the low translation quality is dominated.
