ANALISIS PEMANFAATAN MEDIA SOSIAL WHATSAPP GRUP (WAG) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SMA DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract

Pada tahun 2020 ini, maraknya wabah virus jenis baru yang dikenal dengan Covid-19. Maraknya wabah tersebut sangat berdampak negatif terhadap beberapa sektor khususnya terhadap sektor pendidikan. Sehingga proses pembelajaran siswa tidak lagi bisa dilakukan dengan metode konvensional. Seiring dengan berkembangnya era revolusi industri 4.0 yang telah mengalami banyaknya kemajuan dalam bidang teknologi informasi dalam bidang pendidikan, Salah satu pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan yaitu menggunakan berbagai aplikasi, salah satunya yaitu aplikasi Whatsapp Grup (WAG). Peneliti ini melakukan wawancara untuk mendapatkan data. Wawancara ini dilakukan kepada 6 siswa-siswi yang menempuh sekolah SMA yang berbeda serta dalam pembelajaran matematikanya menggunakan media sosial Whatsapp Grup (WAG). Instrumen penelitian ini memuat tentang aspek-aspek pemanfaatan Whatsapp sebagai media pembelajaran matematika SMA. Informasi serta data yang terkumpul kemudia diolah serta dianalisa secara kualitatif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa tiap-tiap sekolah memiliki cara tersendiri untuk memanfaatkan media sosial Whatsapp Grup (WAG) dalam pembelajaran matematika SMA. Adapun pemanfaatan media sosial Whatsapp Grup (WAG) sebagai tempat diskusi, sebagai sarana penyampaian materi berupa file, foto, ataupun video, sebagai temtat membagikan informasi terkait pembelajaran matematika.

In 2020, a new type of virus known as Covid-19 is rampant. The outbreak of this outbreak has had a negative impact on several sectors, especially the education sector. So that the student learning process can no longer be done with conventional methods. Along with the development of the 4.0 industrial revolution era, which has experienced many advances in the field of information technology in the field of education, one of the uses of technology in education is using various applications, one of which is the Whatsapp Group (WAG) application. This researcher conducted interviews to obtain data. This interview was conducted with 6 students who took different high school schools and in learning mathematics using the Whatsapp Group (WAG) social media. This research instrument contains aspects of using Whatsapp as a medium for high school mathematics learning. The information and data collected are then processed and analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study show that each school has its own way of utilizing Whatsapp Group (WAG) social media in high school mathematics learning. The use of Whatsapp Group (WAG) social media as a place for discussion, as a means of delivering material in the form of files, photos or videos, as a place to share information related to mathematics learning.
