Corn is the mainstay foodstuff for rural communities, especially in Madura Island. Therefore, the production of corn plant is maximized to meet the household food needs. The emergence of pest and disease attacks is often a constraint to maximize production. One of the important pests that often attack the corn crop is the shoot fly (Atherigona sp), so it needs information on the resilience of corn plants of Talango varieties that are predominantly planted farmers in Poteran Island, Madura. This research conducted to obtain information on the level of shoot fly attack on local corn Talango varieties due to planting late. The study was designed with a intercropping of maize-nuts-cassava model planted on three plots. The first plot was planted local maize intercropping with peanuts and cassava,the second plot was planted with local maize intercropping with green beans and cassava; while the third plot was planted with local maize intercropping with soybean and cassava. Each plot consists of four sub plots. Planting time of maize three weeks later than farmers planting time simultaneously. The data obtained were analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis test. The research result showed that there was a shoot fly attack on young corn plants with the average percentage of shoot fly attack between 59,05% until 75,80%. The highest percentage of shoot fly attack was indicated by intercropping of maize-groundnut-cassava and it was significantly different from other intercropping models, while the lowest of shoot fly attack was indicated by intercropping of maize-soybeans-cassava.
