Performance Measurement the AN Batik SMEs in Batu using The Smart System Method

Abstract

Small and medium-sized batik industry, is a business based on local wisdom. This business is still classified as less popular in areas where batik has been developed much like in Pekalongan, Yogyakarta and Solo. After UNESCO established batik as Indonesia's cultural heritage, Batik SMEs developed rapidly on the island of Java and in particular Batu, which was a tourism city. The aim of this study was to measure the level of performance of Batik SMEs. This case study study was conducted on AN Batik SMEs Batu using the Smart System method. The results of this study indicate that there are 23 KPIs that become performance measurements in AN Batik SMEs Batu. Based on the SMART System framework there are 18 KPIs that have met the target while 5 KPIs that have not met the target. Overall, the performance of AN Batik SMEs Batu has a good performance.
