Abstract

In general, da'wah can be interpreted with the effort to create conditions conducive to the change of mind, belief, attitude and behavior toward more Islamic thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors. In other words, with the dakwah someone or a group of people will change their thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and behavior in a more positive direction that is in accordance with the teachings or values of Islam. Therefore, da'wah should be packed properly so as to attract the attention of mad'u, for example by compromising the values or teachings of Islam with the values of local traditions or culture.

Development of da'wah in Indonesia requires reconstruction of educational thinking in order to anticipate any changes that occur: first, subject matter mad'u must be oriented to the future; secondly, it is necessary to develop an open attitude to transfer of knowledge and kritsis to any change; the third avoids the dichotomous view of science (the science of religion and the general sciences). "Religion" and "science" are integral entities that can not be separated from one another. We should not be caught in contradictory categories. The categories or dichotomies must be openly addressed and dialectically considered.

Thus the author tries to parse a little about First, how the cultural dakwah that developed in Indonesia? Second, how Da'wah Acculturation versus Purification in Indonesia; Third, what kind of flows are developing in Indonesia?

This research uses a historical approach with the Kulalitatif method. The result of this research that Da'wah is the process of transformation of teachings or values of Islam Nusantara. Because da'wah is not a goal but as a process, then da'i must be very clever looking for methods that can attract the attention mad'unya for da'wah successful and hit the target.
