MODERN PESANTREN EDUCATION SYSTEM (DYNAMICS CYCULAR ANALYSIS IN PONPES DENANYAR JOMBANG)

Abstract

History has noted that the existence of pesantren in defending the country of Indonesia has been recognized and has a very strategic role. Pesantren education system in Indonesia varies and can be divided into two namely, classical system and modern classical system. Classic or salaf system which means ancient or earlier because this study only examines the ancient books written by salaf scholars. This learning system has existed since the time walisongo, this learning system does not change with the development of the era. This system is very good, because it can defend the aqidah of Islam in this archipelago that lately many new streams that notabenya radical or liberal. Pondok Pesantren is one of the Islamic educational institutions that hereditary preserve all the above components with rhythmic Islamic breaths. The spirit of Islam has led the santri to become knowledgeable, faithful and devoted men so as to achieve true happiness, world and the hereafter.

This research is a study of phenomenology of education system that exist in boarding school of Mamba'ul Ma'arif Denanyar Jombang

The result of the research shows that the development of Modern Curriculum of Pondok Pesantren Mamba'ul Ma'arif in its education system has been through modern approach, namely the existence of formal institution of madrasah (school) where the learning system has been done in classical, tiered, continuous and programmed. Form of evaluation: Sumatif, Oral Exam, and Practice Exam to measure the level of ability or skill santri. Supporting factors include; 1) The physical facilities of Madrasah are quite representative like, computer lab, language lab, internet facility, and library, 2) mosque, 3); kyai or caretaker of boarding school, 4) dormitory santri.
