ISLAM NUSANTARA : MELTING THE FEMINIST SISTERHOOD SPIRIT AND MASCULINITY BELIEF INTO NATIONAL INTEGRITY

ABSTRACT
If the  Feminist’s tenet said that there is no more understanding women than women-selves, so the Masculinity’s would has same opinion. For their own purposes, their ideologies were established for better life. It was born from a long life process and history. So that, it is not must be disparities even hatred for each ideology. But, too many misunderstanding was happened. Feminist was judged as rebellion, and in other hand Masculinity was judged as enemy with its patriarchal system. Sisterhood movement’s idea often crash with masculinity belief that took religion as moral backing. Islam Nusantara comes to be mediator with hold five tenets. They are 1). No Discrimination, 2). Respecting Human Rights, 3). Moderate-Universally, 4). Local wisdom and indegenization, and 5). Pancasilaist. This paper is written based on Focus Group Discussion with Women Studies Center and PAUB (Interfaith Women Alliance), and in-depth interview. All of human must understand that integrity will be reached with understanding and respecting. Both of them are two souls of Islam Nusantara principal. Moreover, it has special values with the local wisdom and Pancasila that can melting and covering every attitude in the social and religious life. Islam Nusantara is one of National value asset that can be unifier differences, specially to integrate every gender ideology for the National Integrity.
