TADARUS BUKU SEBAGAI UPAYA UNTUK MEMPERKOKOH WAWASAN KEBANGSAAN BAGI GENERASI MUDA (STUDI KASUS DI KOMUNITAS ASIAN AFRICAN READING CLUB)

Abstract

Currently, strengthening national insight is still centered in schools through civic education. Whereas, increasing the national idea for younger generation can be through communities, one of which is the Asian African Reading Club whose primary activity is "Tadarus Buku". This study aimed at exploring and analyzing the "Tadarus Buku" activity in strengthening the national insight of the younger generation. This research was conducted by implementing qualitative approach and employing case study methods. The data collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and literature studies. The data analysis included the data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Besides, the findings show that the "Tadarus Buku" activity in Asian African Reading Club community can strengthen national insight for the younger generation. It is due to the themes of the books read in the Asian African Reading Club community which are about nationality and the strength of the speakers in discussing the related topic that is read by the "Tadarus Buku" participants. Another finding demonstrates that the model developed by the Asian African Reading Club community is a book review model by using “tadarus†method.
