Konstruksi Nalar Sufistik Islam Nusantara Sebagai Opsi Membangun Perdamaian Dunia

Abstract

This paper tries to find the construction of sufistical reason of Islam Nusantara idea. The study aims to (1) construct sufistical reason which actually has a strong historical base in the struggle of Islam in Nusantara; (2) build sufistical reason as an offer in building world peace. To find this construction, the author will begin with the discussion of the Islam Nusantara discourse in order to discover the historical legitimacy of sufistical reason. With the historical legitimacy, the author tries to find the construction of the sufstic reason built in the Islamic struggle in Nusantara. Based on the study that the authors do, the construction of Sufistical reasoning contains the dominant, namely (1) sufistical reason makes God as center; (2) sufistical reason is very concerned with the aspect of sincerity and special; (3) Sufistical reason is built on an affective-based religious model and taste, with a spirit of moral enhancement and characteristic nobility; and (4) sufistical reason is constructed through an inclusive and tolerant understanding. These four constructs of sufistical reason are essential in building world peace. In the theoretical level, its presence can penetrate the dividing walls between one Islamic discipline with the discipline of Islam, and between the discipline of Islam with other science disciplines. In practical level, the construction of sufistical reason will contribute in overcoming the obstacles or limitations of relationships caused by differences in beliefs, religions, internal beliefs, cultures, customs, regionalism, and other inherent differences of individuals.
