PRIBUMISASI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM MULTIKULTURAL MELALUI PENGUATAN ISLAM NUSANTARA DI PESANTREN

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the effort to instill the values ​​of Multicultural Islamic education through the strengthening of “Islam Nusantara†in Pesantren, it is done because of the conformity between the principles of Islamic education with the principle of Islamic Nusantara, the principle of tawazun, tasamuh, I'tidal and tawasuth. Through the strengthening of Islam Nusantara, Multicultural Islamic Education can be implemented in Pesantren, so far not all Pesantren can accept and implement the multiculturalism, but without  realized, every Pesantren has been implemented it. The indigenization of multicultural Islamic education through the strengthening of Islamic Nusantara in Pesantrens will be a force to dampen extreme influences through the cultivation of radicalism that is tried to be bullied by militant groups. By emphasizing the substance of Islamic values ​​of the archipelago is not a textual understanding of the Qur'an and Hadith alone but adapted to historical and conditional cultural psycho-socio-cultural. This paper also attempts to describe the background of the emergence of Islam-friendly Islamic beliefs typical of Indonesia (Islam Nusantara), amid the increasingly massive spreading of Islamic scriptural-transnationalist puritanical puritanical puritanies against local tradition. Also explained about the idea that became known as "Islam Nusantara" is something that is deeply rooted in the tradition of the Indonesian nation and has been developed since the earliest period of the entry of Islam Nusantara by Walisongo, so that Islam Nusantara does not need to be disputed with suspicious glasses because he is familiar with culture and character of the Indonesian nation itself, which tends to moderate (tawassut)) and tolerant (tasamuh). Described also the role of pesantren with various characteristics, advantages, and shortcomings as a carriage / institution of Islamic cultural heritage.
