ISLAM NUSANTARA SEBAGAI PAHAM DALAM PENANGGULANGAN RADIKALISME

Abstract

The number of incidents related to the persecution of the clerics even to the emergence of the issue of the killing of ulama in Indonesia, resulting peacefulness and peace in Indonesia as a state of Pancasila increasingly questionable. In this article the author tries to uncover how the concept of Islam Nusantara as a notion that brings about the values of the roots of inclusiveness can be a solution of the existence of issues that threaten the security and peace of some Indonesian citizens. The concept of Islam Nusantara itself was reaping many positive and negative responses. But if we look at the concept offered by Islam Nusantara, it  invites us to understand more about the meaning of unity and unity of Indonesia. The concept of Islamic Archipelago is expected to undermine the understanding and action that will threaten the integrity and peace of this Indonesian nation. One of the ideologies that recently emerged in Indonesia, especially among scholars is radicalism. One of the values carried is tasammuh (tolerant), which means every individual, group / group must always respect the opinions, ideas and values owned by each individual or other groups. While radicalism is the idea that wish for a change in every element of society. Radicalism is a concept that wants total change to a condition, radicalism is a conservative movement and often uses violence in teaching their beliefs. Islam never justifies the practice of using violence in spreading religion, religious understanding and political understanding, because Islam is a peace religion that upholds human values with a peaceful orientation / rahmatan lil ‘alamin as the ultimate goal. Thus Islam Nusantara as the concept of Islam that offers a way to respect each other, uphold peace and humanity is expected to be able to fight the radical movement for the integrity of the nation and state of Indonesia.
