THE CONTRIBUTION OF NETWORKING INDONESIAN HADITH SHOLARS IN DEVELOPMENT OF ISLAM NUSANTARA (The influence Shaykh Mahfudz at-Tirmasyi on Intellectual Development of Indonesian Society)
Abstract
In the 7th century, Islam has shifted in Makkah with various uniqueness backgrounds of social and cultural. History is a reconstruction of the past. The disparity of geography and period will definitely bring characteristic differences. According to Musthofa Bisri, “Islam Indonesia†which then called Islam Nusantara is Islam that exist in Indonesia based on Walisongo learned. Thus, Islam Nusantara has a locality dimension of Indonesian society, both traditionally and culturally. In its development, the scientific integrity of Islamic societies was disseminated by some scholars, among others: Nur al-Din al-Ranairy, Hamzah al-Fansuri, Abdur-Ro'uf as-Sinkily and Shaykh Mahfudz at-Tirmasyi. Last name, then become a figure who has high integrity in the study of Indonesian hadith, even in the Islamic world. This can be proved by two phenomenal articles entitled Al-Khil'ah al-Fikriyyah fi Syarh al-Minhah al-Khairiyyah and Manhaj Dzawi al-Nazhar fi Syarhi Manzhumat 'Ilmi al-Atsar. In addition, although sheikh Mahfudz did not return home after studying in Makkah but spread many students who immediately gave a major influence on Islam Nusantara, one of his students was Kyai Hasyim Asy'ari, He is Nahdhatul 'Ulama's (NU) leader. This paper is required to see how much influence Shaykh Mahfudz at-Tirmasyi has on Islamic studies in the archipelago (nusantara).Downloads
