INVESTMENT OF MULTICULTURAL ISLAMIC VALUES AS EFFORTS TO SUPPORT INTEGRITY OF THE NATIONS

Abstract

Integritas a nation is the main theme in upholding the prestige and national dignity. As a country conferred with various ethnic and cultural diversity, multiculturalism has a strategic role in fostering and maintaining the unity and nation unity. Because of multiculturalism has the values ​​needed by a nation that has diversity as the Indonesian nation, namely the value of equality, justice and humanity.

In an Islamic perspective, the value of multicultural reflected in a person's morals or behaviors. So with the ​​ multicultural islamic values able to make the living order of a peaceful and harmonious society. Therefore, with the spirit of prestige and dignity, upholding the values ​​of equality, tolerance, justice and humanity, becomes a bright spot in the process of building a more established civilization of nation integrity. So that the human character that is formed from the values ​​of this multicultural grow and develop make the Indonesian people as a multicultural society that is inclusive, pluralist and democratic character.
