POTENTIAL ANALYSIS OF PRODUCTION AND REPRODUCTION ETAWAH CROSSBRED GOATS (PE) IN LUMAJANG DISTRICT EAST JAVA
Abstract
This research was conducted in Lumajang District of East Java at different place height. The material used in this research is Etawah (PE) Peranakan Goats located at altitude: plains with altitude> 700 m, 400 - 700 m Dpl and <400 m Dpl in the District. Location research is done purposively (Purposive sampling) that the area is much to maintain goat PE.
The purpose of this research is to know the map of potential production and reproduction for the development of Etawah Peranakan Goats (PE) in East Java Region
Variable in this research is production aspect that is birth weight, wean weight, weight of 1 year and reproduction aspect of first age giving birth, married after child, service per conseption and calvinglamb.
The results showed that the average birth weight on the plateau 3.23 ± 0.716 higher when compared with the average birth weight in the medium and low plains ie. 2.68 ± 0.596, and 2.88, ± 0.41951, for average weaning weight of 15.03 ± 1.94 higher when compared with medium and low plains of 14.59 ± 2.119, and 13.81 ± 2.041. for the average one-year weight for the highlands 34.72 ± 1.82 higher when compared with the medium and low plains of 33.94 ± 1.46, and 34.56 ± 2.06 2. (reproduction), the first age of birth there is a very significant difference in the first age of childbirth (month ) between sub-districts in the highlands, medium and lowlands in Lumajang district (p <0.01). When based on the mean, the first order of birth gives the highest succession from highest to lowest, ie highest in lowland plain (17.80 ± 1.999 months), medium (17.06 ± 0.860 month), and highland (16.70 ± 0.696 month). Mating after childbirth and subsequent pregnancy on mating variables after childbearing (month) also showed a very significant difference between sub-districts in the highlands, medium and lowlands in Lumajang district (p <0.01). When based on the mean, the sequence of marriage rates after childbirth successively ranges from highest to lowest, ie highest in upland areas (3,467 ± 0.566 months), lowland (3.73 ± 0.685 moons), and moderate plains of 3, ± 0.566 months). Service Per Conseption (S / C) there was a significant difference of servisperconseption (S / C) between in the highlands, medium and low in Lumajang district (p <0.05). Multiplication distance, in variable of spawning distance (month) also showed that there were differences between highland, medium, and low in Lumajang district (p <0,01).
From the results of the research can be dismpulkan that the height of the place can affect the performance of production and reproduction of Etawah Goats (PE), so it can be direkonmendasikan development of dairy goat should be in the highlands or medium
