PERAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA AL-QUR’AN DI ERA MERDEKA BELAJAR

Abstract

This study aims to (1) explain the role of Islamic religious education teachers in improving the ability to read the Qur’an in the era of independent learning (2) The strategies used by teachers in helping to improve the ability to read the Qur’an in the era of independent learning. This study uses a qualitative analysis method based on phenomenology by using a case study research type at MTs Irsyadul Ibad Mubtadi'in Malang. The result of this research is that the teacher plays an important role in improving the ability to read the Qur'an. The teacher acts as a communicator, facilitator, and also acts as a tutor here plays a role in adjusting the learning style of the Qur'an. The strategy used is the bil qolam method. This method is a traditional method but is very effective in improving the ability of students to read the Qur'an.
