PEMANFAATAN APLIKASI WHATSAPP SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB BERBASIS DARING PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of the Covid-19 pandemic which requires the implementation of distance learning and limited learning media that are by existing conditions. This study aims to describe the use of the WhatsApp application as an online-based Arabic learning medium during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data sources in this study were students, teachers, and documents. Data analysis techniques with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and inference. The results of this study are a description of the use of the WhatsApp application as an online-based Arabic learning medium during the Covid-19 pandemic. (1) The WhatsApp application as an effective online-based learning medium for four Arabic language skills, (2) the WhatsApp application as an efficient online-based Arabic learning medium, and (3) the WhatsApp application as an online-based Arabic learning medium has the role of an educational facility, evaluation, and communication between teachers and learners.
